Our kids in Thessaloniki

The first trip of the Iptameni youth team began with much excitement and anticipation for their first game.
We were greeted at an incredible ice rink with the best specifications for the development of the sport in Oreokastro Thessaloniki. The hospitality and the help of the owners and players of the opposing team was invaluable!
The first game against the ‘Ice Guardians’, was a fantastic experience full of knowledge, hockey, and smiles. The kids lived beautiful moments and made new friends. All players gave their best, and tried to cope with a much more experienced team. With the aid of players from the Athens Grizzlies, they were able to compete against a worthy opponent. Mainly in the second game, with less stress and under the valuable guidance of their coaches, the kids pleasantly surprised everyone with their effort! Giotis Efkarpidis, Spyros Ploutsis, Alex Valsamas-Rallis and Themis Lambridis are the best coaches that these kids can have by their side.
The Iptameni youth team enjoyed the games and every other minute in Thessaloniki. The trip ended with the best memories, lots of laughter and an experience they will never forget!

IPTAMENI vs. ICE GUARDIANS

The players of IPTAMENI ATHENS traveled to Thessaloniki to take part in 2 friendly games against the ICE GUARDIANS (former PAOK). The games took place in the new ice rink ICEBERG in Oraiokastro.

The IPTAMENI players were: KALYVAS G. TILIOS, CHATZIGIANNIS, LAMBRIDIS, VALSAMAS-RALLIS, PLOUTSIS, ZIAKAS, KASAMPOULIS and SOURAS.

The final scores:
April 17th 2015: IPTAMENI – ICE GUARDIANS 17:4
April 18th 2015: IPTAMENI – ICE GUARDIANS 11:5

Greek All-Stars – Canadian Navy 7-7

A great game was played between the Greek All-Stars and players of the Canadian Navy. Final score 7-7! Spyros Ploutsis, Diogenis Souras, Pavlos Kasampoulis, Alexandros Valsamas-Rallis and Antonis Kanelis were chosen to play for the All-Stars. The Greek goals were scored from Chilas (2), Valsamas-Rallis (2), Patsis (2) and Kokkonos (1).

It was the second friendly game against a team from the Canadian Navy (different ship) was was played in Athens. More to come!

The players of both teams are accompanied by the “IPTAMENAKIA” (IPTAMENI Athens youth team) in the traditional photo taken before the game.

Friendly: Hellas All-Stars vs. Canada Navy

The best players from Iptameni, along with the best players from Albatros, will play against a team from the Canadian Navy, in a friendly hockey game.

The game will take place on Friday November 28th at 9pm at the Athens Heart ice rink, located Pireos 186 in Athens.
